Trained as an architect (BA University of Cambridge, MSc TU Delft), Hanna Rudner works with self organised resident groups on housing, community spaces, and cooperative projects. She operates as a member within the collectives she supports, where being part of the group comes first, and design, research, and activities follow from there. Her practice combines a strong theoretical base with lived experience in different groups, focusing on more equitable and effective forms of self organisation, supported by training in Holacracy, Non-Violent Communication, and mediation.

This way of working also shapes her photography. What began as documenting the communities she is part of has grown into a professional practice focused on people in their environments, through event, portrait, and documentary projects that reflect the same values of collaboration and care.
